70 million years

Went looking for the 70 million years letterbox in NJ--I know I was
in the right location, but wasn't able to find it--anyone know how
far down we need to dig? (Should I bring a shovel the next time
I'm there?)
Thanks,
Andrea (just started letterboxing this weekend!)

I heard on here a while back that someone else couldn't find it, don't know
what became of that though. I haven't searched for it myself.

Mary and I found this box on April 1, 2002.   If I remember correctly, it was closer to the top of the hill than where we had first started looking.  Also, you really didn't have to DIG,  just uncover.     It wasn't an easy find, but not imposssible.

Hi Andrea, since it's my box, I thought I would reply.

The digging part is just an expression - no actual
digging is necessary. I'll go out and check on the
box and put the word out as to whether it's missing.

Give me a couple of days,
Elise

Hi Andrea and Elisa,
We found the 70 million years letterbox Sunday May 12th at about 6
o'clock at night. It was our second attempt to find the box (we went
the day before too). But I assure you that the box is alive and well
and not at all extinct. It is, however, pretty well hidden! And we
did not require a backhoe ;)

Cool stamp, Andrea!
